Buggers!
Well I finished this little guy up a while back, but I've been lazy about blogging. I've wanted to make this for a long time. I got the pattern from Kimberly Chapman and it turned out so cute! I used the colors from the baby Einstein Caterpillar. Now everyone wants me to make them one. I'm working on one about 4 times as big as this one turned out for my 3 year old. It has no face or feet but he still carries it around everywhere and shows it to everyone. As soon as I can sneak it away from him at night to sew on a face I'll post pictures. I made this little one for my cousin in law's new baby girl. I put a rattle inside. Yay! Thanks Kimberly!

New Member-Angela
Hello Everyone,
I just found your group last week and am so excited to finally find a knitting group here in Vegas.
We're a military family that just (lol - Aug of last year) came back to the states from Germany. (I miss the yarn....$18 for German sock yarn at Gail Knits is insane! I understand why it's so high...but....well, you know)
I started knitting a few years ago and consider myself an advanced beginner.
Anything else you'd like to know? Please ask me. I have few (if any) secrets.
With love, Angela
Here's my latest project. A mobius wrap with two kinds of novelty yarn.

Embarrassed
I'm embarrassed to say that I have no new knitting to report. In fact, I'm still working on the same pair of socks I started back in May. They are my "car knitting" socks and need the heels turned. I'm working on both of them at once on one long circular needle using the magic loop technique. I haven't had much time in the car to turn heels, which need my concentration since I use short row heels. Is it just me or does anyone else have a problem with knitting wool in the summer? It's just too hot and it doesn't slip through my fingers nicely. When I'm in the house, I could be working in them but I have been doing more and more sewing lately. I completed my first non-rag quilt and though it's not perfect, I'm proud of it. Details are on my blog if anyone wants to see it.
Until later,
Michelle

Finally! Knitting content for me!
Vanesa, great job on your sock! I, too, am working on a pair of socks. Just got the first sock done this evening and the second one is almost to the end of the toe increases (I knit mine toe up). I belong to the Sock A Month 3 KAL but have been neglecting my knitting in order to crochet on my ripple afghans and fat bottom bags. It sure was nice to knit again, but I'm really racing to beat the clock on this one as the mate is due tomorrow! Wish me luck! Will post picture of the finished pair.

Sockalicious!
Yay my first sock ever! I used Lucia's sockulator. I even did a seamless kitchener's stitch on the toe with help from the stitch and bitch book. More info about the sock can be found on my blog. ;) The rest of the pictures are on our group flick page. Have a nice day!

Hi everyone! Sorry no new knitting progress, yet.
I have been a bit obsessed by the Fat Bottom Bag from the Stitch N Bitch Happy Hooker book. They are crocheted. I have made 5 in the past week or so and am now working on my 6th. Just so we have some pictures to look at I'll put up a couple here. Otherwise they're on my blog. I have, however, been thinking of making a knitted version of this bag. If I am able to do that, I'd let you know. Of course, I wouldn't be able to crank one out in a day since I'm a much slower knitter than crocheter. We'll see!

But then just this morning I realized that I have a week to finish a pair of socks for the Sock A Month 3 KAL that I belong to. I just bought a skein of Trekking XXL at the beginning of the month from Nancy's Quilt Shop in a beautiful orange/red that would work nicely. I guess I've got to put away the Fat Bottoms for awhile, huh?
